Applications are invited for one new part-time post in this centre of excellence for Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine. The successful applicant will become a member of a team of physicians, each with daytime and on-call commitments in the department.

This department was established in 1965; it was re-provided in 2001, with a significant private finance investment, in the form of a ten-patient multiplace facility with ICU capability. Our multi-disciplinary team of eighteen includes doctors, nurses, supervisors and technicians. We now operate one of the busiest services in the United Kingdom.

The Department offers introductory courses in Hyperbaric Medicine, and encourages research and other academic activities. The successful applicant should preferably be a fully trained GP or be on the Specialist Register and have valid GMC registration/License to practice. The post does not specify any particular speciality, however formal training and education in Hyperbaric Medicine is provided.
