Sayers. BSc CHT
Managing Director/Therapy Provider
Philip
J Sayers is founding shareholder and Managing Director of London
Hyperbaric and Wound Healing Centres Ltd. He is the Registered
Provider of London Hyperbaric Medicine and the East of England
Hyperbaric Unit in Great Yarmouth. Prior to establishing the company
on 2000, Philip worked in the design, manufacture of military diving
equipment currently in service with the German and Swedish armed
forces. In the mid nineties his business expanded to include the
design and installation of clinical Hyperbaric therapy facilities
from his base in Bremen Germany.
Philip graduated from Swansea University in 1976 with a BSc joint
honours degree in Oceanography and Marine Biology. Following his
graduation he worked on research projects with Cambridge University
in the Red Sea and spent two and a half years with the British Antarctic
Survey on the island of South Georgia.
Born
in Jersey Channel Islands, Philip relocated to England in 2001 and
now lives in North Essex. He is currently responsible for overseeing
operations of the UK's leading provider of NHS-based Hyperbaric
and Wound Healing Centres.

Dr. Steve Harrison. FRCA
Steven
Harrison is a consultant anaesthetist at Whipps Cross hospital and
the medical director of the London Hyperbaric and Wound Healing
Centre. He under took his anaesthetic training with Barts and the
London SpR rotation, during which time he completed a 6-month attachment
to the Hyperbaric unit at Whipps Cross, supervised by Dr Martin
Hamilton-Farrell who pioneered HBO at Whipps Cross. He is particularly
interested in late radiation tissue damage.

Patricia Wooding.
Ms
Patricia Wooding has worked at Whipps Cross University Hospital
since 1985. She has been the hyperbaric administration and accounts
manager for our unit since 2002. She is a qualified book-keeper,
first aider and has regular BLS training. Since 2003, she has been
the treasurer/membership secretary for the EUBS Society and has
also worked as the book-keeper for the Whipps Cross University Hospital
Medical Education and Research Trust for the last 12 years. She
was the runner up at the Medical Secretary Awards in 2003, for her
presentation of “Innovation within the NHS” She was invited to a
garden party at Buckingham Palace for the celebration of 50 years
of the NHS. In her spare time, she is a qualified diver.

Vindra Swanscott. RGN CHRN.
Vindra
Swanscott qualified as a RGN in 1984 and has worked as an anaesthetic
sister for over 17 years in various hospitals in and around London.
She has worked in Hyperbarics and wound care since 2001. She has
qualifications in wound care and leg ulcer management. She has been
the clinical nurse manager of the Whipps Cross Hyperbaric unit since
2004. In 2005 she helped set up the wound care facility at the Unit.
In 2007 she passed the baromedical nurses board (US) Certified Hyperbaric
Registered Nurse exam (CHRN). She is also registered with the National
Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technologists in the United
States as a CHRN. She also lectures and acts as a consultant to
medical, technical staff and organisations on wound care. She also
acts as an NVQ assessor for Whipps Cross hospital. |

Dr. Elliot Singer. MBBS MRCGP
Dr
Elliott Singer is a general practitioner and hyperbaric physician.
Dr Singer has been working at the Whipps Cross hyperbaric unit since
2002. He is an honourary lecturer at Barts and Royal London
Medical College. He is currently the Chair of the British
Hyperbaric Association. He is also a HSE approved medical examiner
of divers (AMED)

Dr. Andreas Stehr.
Dr
Andreas K Stehr is an Honorary Consultant in Anaesthesia and Critical
Care at London Hyperbaric Medicine based at Whipps Cross University
Hospital, where he works as a full time Hyperbaric Physician since
2007. Trained in Germany he has been involved in diving and hyperbaric
medicine at Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany since
2003 and completed the European Modules (ECHM) for diving and hyperbaric
medicine in 2007. Andreas is an approved referee of the UK Sports
Diving Medical Committee and - apart from diving related injuries
and emergencies- mainly interested to promote the use of HBOT for
elective indications. |

Elizabeth Hales. BSc RGN CHRN
Elizabeth
Hales has been a RGN since 2000 receiving her Bsc from South Bank
University in 2005. She has previous experience as an Intensive
Care Nurse as well as in acute elderly care. Elizabeth has worked
in the field of Hyperbaric Oxygen since 2002 where she has gained
experience and qualifications in Transcutaneous Oxygen Monitoring
and wound care. In 2007 she passed the baromedical nurses board
(US) Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse exam (CHRN). She is also
registered with the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical
Technologists in the United States as a CHRN. She routinely lectures
to both medical and technical staff on wound care and hyperbaric
medicine.
